The last night of our west coast tour was pretty incredible. Milo from Descendents scoped our merch, Miguel Chen of Stat Dad taught us how to punk harder and Freya broke 3 strings in front of a bunch of nice people who were just trying to have a good time, man. For the Love of Punk were in attendance and gave us an amazing review, thank christ. Read the full article here to see more pics.
We were very excited to receive an Impose premiere of our 'one of a kind' cover of Fleetwood Mac's Rhiannon, recorded for our Split with Oh My Snare. Luckily they didn't seem to realize it was a cover, or we might not have had a good laugh that day. Read the full article here.
We were lucky enough to have the Village Voice come see us play the extremely successful Freak Out this fall, and man was it a ball!

Independent Music News were kind enough to include both ourselves and our sister band Oh My Snare in their round up of girl-rockers to take some notice of.

Because apparently you play guitar really well for a girl...
With the increasing dialogue surrounding feminism and women's experiences in the arts, Freya sat down with Brokelyn to talk about all of the bizarre things that she's heard on the gig circuit from (dun dun dahhh) men.

A few weeks back I did an interview with BreakThru Radio where I talked about running into blind people, discovering Brody Dalle late in life and getting punched in the crotch to find love.
If you're more the reading type, you can read the article here.
Check it out guys! BTR are a great lot, and supporting those who refuse to call themselves artists like myself is definitely a worthwhile cause!
Okay so realistically the only secret that was exposed was my love/hate relationship with Nirvana... But still, you should check out this great video of me talking shit on my couch with the handsome Mr. Colin Vallee so that you can learn about my immaculate conception and the fact that I lived in a condemned house (actually I lived in two but we won't go there).
You can listen to the full interview below (if you feel like 12 minutes JUST ISN'T ENOUGH) and let me know what you'd like to hear about in my next interview - I'll make sure to work it in (probably).
The gorgeous folks over at Dying Scene have given me the great honor of a very solid shoutout in their rundown of the NYC punks that are stirring things up around town - which is pretty fantastic considering they're basing this decision on my solo EP alone!
So thanks guys, I've definitely never been called a 'whiskey-soaked angel' before, but I think I'll demand that my friends call me that in future.
If you want to keep on top of the world of punk and its weirdo relatives, go like the Dying Scene Facebook page so that you can act like you're better than your friends when you know about the best and brightest Philly ska/punk children's band or whatever.
Alright, Wilcox OUT!
Following a particularly quiet evening at Spike Hill where I screamed my heart out between a couple of quiet soul ensembles, I was lucky enough to catch up with the good folks from Diffuse BK, who got some great shots and gave me a lovely review. Read the article here and show these guys some love!
Check out some of the shots from the evening below and go see the rest on their site.
